Fabric masks
Fabric face masks with excellent properties
In a time dominated by coronavirus, face coverings have become a major part of everyday life. For some people, it is necessary to wear a face mask all day, which is why the comfort of the mask can suddenly become a major consideration. Similarly, for many people, this means that face masks need to be changed frequently, sometimes several times a day. Ultimately, this means that wearing face masks is a hassle and a minor annoyance for a great many Danes – not to mention an expense that many of us would gladly do without.
However, given the circumstances, there is no way round it, so it is a matter of finding a way to make wearing face masks as comfortable and straightforward as possible. The coronavirus is very much on everyone’s minds at the moment, and in many places it is now compulsory to wear face coverings, which for many people can mean a significant change to their daily routine. Cloth face masks help make this change to your daily routine more comfortable and easier, which is why many people choose cloth masks specifically.
Unlike more traditional face masks, fabric face masks often offer better comfort and a better fit, making them generally more comfortable to wear in everyday life. This can be a major advantage for those who have to wear a face mask all day. Likewise, cloth face masks may be preferable for those who are often on the move, as, unlike standard face masks, they can be reused to a greater extent. If you reuse your fabric masks, please bear in mind that they should ideally be washed after every use, preferably at 60 degrees, so that they always perform optimally and provide the best protection the next time you wear them.
Always be aware of your mask’s protective capacity
Whether you’re buying standard face masks or cloth face masks, it’s absolutely essential that you’re aware of the protective efficacy of the mask or masks you’re purchasing. First and foremost, this is important so that you – and, not least, those around you – receive the necessary protection against viruses, including COVID-19. However, in many places, it is a genuine requirement that your face coverings meet a certain standard of quality, so that you and those around you can be confident of their protective efficacy.
When it comes to the protective efficacy of your face coverings, this is particularly important to consider in the case of fabric masks, as these are not subject to the same requirements as standard face coverings. Therefore, you are not automatically guaranteed that your fabric face coverings provide the same level of protection, which is why you should always ask questions and read up on fabric face coverings before purchasing them.
The Danish Health Authority specifically recommends that, as a general rule, you always try to obtain cloth face coverings that consist of three layers and fit snugly around the mouth and nose. Also remember that cloth face coverings are used in the same way as standard face coverings, which means they must fit snugly and always cover both the mouth and nose. Finally, it is important to bear in mind that cloth face coverings should be regarded as a means of protection, helping to protect others should you yourself be infected. However, a high-quality cloth face covering can provide you with the level of protection you would expect from traditional face masks.
Please also bear in mind that if you are looking for standard face masks, here at TEESHOPPEN you can find CE-marked Type 2 face masks, which provide you and others with optimal protection against coronavirus and other viruses. Naturally, our CE-marked Type 2 face masks are available at the same competitive prices as our fabric face masks.
